Monument Realty Moves Forward With Liberty View Most of Lewin Park has been destroyed in preparation for the new Liberty View office park. From the Kingstown- Rose Hill Patch By Lisa K. Brown Monument Realty is making progress on Liberty View, the future office park that is planned on Lewin Drive, next to the Inova Healthplex Franconia-Springfield. The new 750,000-square-foot developement, which will also include a hotel, will be built on the property that was once home to the Lewin Park neighborhood. Monument Realty was waiting for permits to demolish Lewin Park in March, and the Washington Business Journal reported that bulldozers and trucks began arriving in April. Natasha Stancill, director of marketing at Monument Realty, wrote in an email that all the houses have been destroyed, except for one. They are still waiting on approvals from Dominion Power and Washington Gas for the last demolition. Stancill added that permits for the first new building have been submitted to Fairfax County. A spokesperson from supervisor Jeff McKay's office wrote in an email that Virginia Department of Transportation will also be involved in the approvals of the site plan, which are in the process of being finalized.
